Upgrade to iotop-c: Coming Soon to Fedora Linux 40!
Say goodbye to the outdated iotop in Fedora Linux! With the upcoming Fedora 40 release, iotop-c will be the new default for I/O monitoring on Linux systems. This C alternative offers numerous enhancements over the original iotop, including better performance and support for small embedded systems. Fedora developers are already preparing for this transition and you can read more about it on the Fedora Wiki. Keep an eye out for further updates as this change is still awaiting approval from the Fedora Engineering and Steering Committee (FESCo).
